Microsoft's Windows 10 "Free Upgrade"

The Windows 10 "Free Upgrade" for Windows 7 and 8.1 users will end on July 30th, for those of you holding out for longer but want to upgrade at  later time it will cost $120 or £99.99 thereafter. (Depending on the version.)

This means that those who are currently running Windows 7 or 8.1 will only have less than a week to upgrade to the new OS for free.

Windows 10 is the best version of Windows yet, and is now running on 300 million active devices. Watch Bryan Roper from the Windows team run through the 10 top reasons to upgrade to Windows 10 - before the free upgrade offer ends on July 29th.

After July 30th those who upgrade, will be forced to pay Microsoft a fairly hefty sum, which will no doubt anger a lot of people if they didn't upgrade in time, but users have been given a year and countless reminders and sneaky tactics to get them to upgrade already.

I for one have upgraded from 8.1 to 10. I am still finding new stuff about 10 to write about so you'll get my opinion on it soon enough... but for now I am happy and it did not cost anything.
